Mr. Arbitrium is a three-meter male figure with all his muscles in tension, thus showing ambivalence as the artist’s own intention. A tribute, according to Toni Antonio Mir Martínez, CEO of Cap Vermell Group, to the “perseverance”, “commitment” and “passion” of the group.
Emanuele Giannelli Born in Rome in 1962, as a boy he moved to Carrara to study marble and investigate sculpture, starting from classical bases that will soon be transformed into contemporary themes. In the 90s, in particular, Giannelli meets post-human, cyber-punk, industrial music, literature and alternative illustration: languages that inspire his three-dimensional inventions where the body is always the protagonist, to embody obsessions of a generation close to the anxieties of the new millennium. From the following decade his poetics reached full maturity, as confirmed by various exhibitions in galleries and public spaces curated by Luca Beatrice, Martina Cavallarin, Gianluca Marziani. The interventions in the courtly palaces (Palazzo Taverna, Rome, Palazzo Collicola, Spoleto) and in street furniture, in Seravezza, Carrara, Viareggio, Lucca, Pietrasanta, Milan and now in Forte dei Marmi are increasingly complex and articulated.
