Mordechai Ardon
22. January 2017
Curator: Amitai Mendelsohn
This selection of paintings by Mordechai Ardon reveal the multifaceted nature of one of Israeli art’s central figures. Alongside expressive landscapes and selfportraits inspired in part by Rembrandt and El Greco, this exhibition displays modernist paintings in which basic shapes and colors create a unique language encompassing the Israeli landscape, celestial bodies, and ancient symbols.
